How do public speakers best connect to their audiences? This strong TED talk by Chris Anderson clearly communicates the importance of ideas and how they can be more effectively communicated. I found this video inspiring, as he spoke about how ideas manifest themselves in stories, symbols and metaphors-rather than just words. Check out the simple visual structures used in this video to symbolize ideas. Tell me what you think of this TED talk. Does it inspire you to use his 4 suggestions for better connection with your audience when you give talks?

I like this video. Thanks for sharing it. Especially important is keeping your message simple and yes, I agree use metaphors when you talk. I like the visuals of the brain patterns of the audience used in the video. That is a good thing to visualize as a speaker. Everyone in your audience creating the same pattern in their brain as you share your ideas. Good ideas...worth sharing! Ha!
